๐ Sell-Through Knowledge Base
๐ What is Sell-Through Rate?
Sell-Through Rate (STR) = Market Demand
It tells you what percentage of active listings are selling each month. High STR = hot item. Low STR = saturated market.
Formula: (Sold per Month / Active Listings) ร 100
Example: 50 sold last month, 200 active listings
(50 / 200) ร 100 = 25% STR
Example: 50 sold last month, 200 active listings
(50 / 200) ร 100 = 25% STR
๐ฏ How to Interpret the Score
100%+ (UNICORN): More selling than available. Price HIGH. Buy immediately.
50-99% (LOW RISK): Healthy demand. Will sell within 60-90 days at market price.
20-49% (MODERATE): Competitive market. Price at or below average to move it.
Under 20% (HIGH RISK): Saturated. Only buy if dirt cheap or rare variant.

๐ How to Find This Data
On eBay:
- Search for your item
- Note the number of results (Active Listings)
- Click "Sold Items" filter
- Count sold in last 30 days (or use Terapeak)
Free Tool: eBay's Terapeak (in Seller Hub โ Research) shows 90-day sold data with sell-through percentages built in.
โ ๏ธ Don't trust "Sold" alone! An item with 1,000 sold sounds great, but if there are 50,000 active listings, that's only 2% STR - terrible.
